This is my latest embroidery featuring a little cloud with a rockin' rainbow hairdo. His name? Roy G. Biv, of course! Now how do I get my hair to do that?

Quite some time ago, I had a little snafu involving some blue thread that bled when I spritzed the embroidery with water to wash out the temporary pen. Well, today I figured out the culprit (JP Coats was the brand of floss), as you can see from the bit of blue that bled into the background of my 'broidery. (Hows that for alliteration?)

I decided just to love him the way he is, though, and so the blue stain stays. I'm just happy that it actually looks like a blue sky, so I'd say it's downright serendipitous.

For this project I used stem stitch and running stitch. (Surprise, surprise...) I just love working on all those little running stitches while on the train to and from my various daily activities. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and I'm always open to comments and critique.

I have the pattern available for free at Bee's Knees Activities

This is beautiful.  I thought the blue was a natural part of the fabric; it looks meant to be.  Thank you for providing this pattern and so many others; I just love your style of art.

That is so beautiful. The colors are so young and fun, reminds me of an ice cream shoppe!

I love the fabric and the adorable expression on Roy G. Biv - especially the rosey heart cheeks.

It makes me think of the song Roy G. Biv by They Might be Giants Smiley.

Thanks! I'm not familiar with that They Might Be Giants song, but I think I'll have to get familiar.
