Disclaimer: If your user name is Twonderland and we are partnered in a swap don't look at this!

I know I should wait until the swap is over but I had to share it as I loved how it came out!!

So here is my latest creation (in part inspired by The Sapphire Moon's button work found on a partner's wist, and my own love of rainbows)

It took me more than a couple hours (I think I did it over week while watching TV so I don't know exactly how long but easily many hours). It is made of buttons and beads. I don't get to keep it tho as I made it for someone else Smiley Hopefully they'll love it as much as I did!

Far away on the wall:

Hanging on the wall

Closer up on the floor

Close up to see some of the detail:

There will shortly be more pics and bigger ones on my blog Smiley There are now pics on my blog (see my signature for the link) that are bigger (click on them there) then what you can see here in case you are interested in the close up details of the different types of buttons and beads I used Smiley

I am considering going in with like colored seed beads to cover up the little spots between beads and buttons with color... not sure tho I already have spent a lot of time on this lol!

C&C always welcome

Wow! How many buttons and beads did you end up using?

I used mostly beads and buttons from my stash but did buy a bag o buttons from micheal's for 5 bucks to finish it off as I didn't have enough of all the colors I needed to finish it. As for how many buttons/beads I used, a whole lot, I only counted the red, orange and yellow but that was like 400+ alone so I gave up counting Smiley To give an idea of size tho it is on a 12 inch embroidery hoop so it's pretty large.

I think I died and went to button heaven!!

You outdid yourself Slyfox!  I love that you were inspired by TSM button art...it was also gorgeous! Love the shine and the added texture of your beads!

Your partner is going to love it!  Sure looks like a whole lot of work went into it! I think it is done!
