I have an intense love of old vanity tables and wanted one for my bedroom, not really sure why since I don't wear makeup. I have a beautiful one that belonged to my great grandma in my antique room http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=336467.msg3892319#msg3892319 but I wanted another one for an empty wall in my bedroom. Well got to love junk shops! I found a great slightly beat-up one for cheap it just needed a little love.
Now I know everyone here loves before pics but I did this project before I found this site and didn't take any. Just picture a very dirty, water ringed brown vanity.

I took it apart, cleaned and sanded, and then painted it black to go with all the other blackness in my bedroom. I decided it needed something so I hand painted all the little details with silver aluminum paint to make them stand out, also did the handles. I think it turned out great! I love the shape of the mirror and that it still had the little glass shelf that is almost always gone. C&C welcome

It looks very nice!  I have always liked those style of vanity, but never liked the coloring of them.  You did a great job and it looks wonderful with the silver accents.
