Hello together,

this is my first post in here Smiley. Thus I hope you enjoy what I made. A while ago I found this bag http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=45643.0 and I thought that with little changes the technique could work out on bigger boxes as well. Last weekend i finished the box in the middle row to the left. Here is the link to the picture:

(Unfortunately I'm not yet allowed to post pictures Sad)
Making the box was easy. I cut old newspaper into stripes of 7cm (2.75inches) and folded them into thirds. To make the stripes I glued the paper on clear tape until I reached the desired lenght. The excess ot the tape is glued on the back of the stripe thus the paper is covered compleately by clear tape. All which is left is to actually weave the box.
If you want to see more pictures you can take a look at my blog http://my-everything-and-nothing-blog.blogspot.com/2010/04/self-made-box.html.

Awesome idea. I really enjoy weaving paper but I couldn't think of what else to make. Never even occurred to me to make boxes! I'm gonna go check out your blog to see what other brilliant ideas you might have hehe.

What a creative and ingenious idea! Your boxes look so intricate and I love that they are so useful while keeping more paper out of the landfills. Awesome!
Peace & Love,
