i just finished my costume for my friends bowie party! i have a better wig on order but it will take about a month to get here Sad this one from my old ziggy stardust costume (also posted on here) will have to do. im SUPER proud of this, its done really technically well and comfortable too! hooray!

anyone know where i can get a red plastic prop guitar? i have a real fender strat thats navy blue with a white pick guard but i dont really want to carry that around. Tongue

I just have to say this is amazing! I was a little confused by the thumbnail... but David Bowie is amazing! You did a great job, too. It looks just like the original. I need to have a David Bowie party now...

When I think of Bowie I always first go to the Labyrinth.  But I love your costume!  You should definitely post pics of the end result.

I read a tutorial once about getting dense Styrofoam from the hardware store (the real stuff for insulating and not for cheap coolers or packing peanuts Smiley ) and reinforcing it with a dowel.  You can use any kind of paint besides spray paint and give it a glossy finish at the end for the electric look.  It might be more work than it's worth but it's an idea, right?!  Cheesy
