My fave-oh-right holiday has got to be Halloween. Why? Because I get to make a costume!! I've made plenty over the years but here a couple from the past few years that I really liked.

I made the skirt, apron and hat. Complete with a vintage Strawberry embroidered shirt I already had. I also drew those sexy stocking stripes on my hose! The hat is stuffed with newsprint to help it stay fluffy.

This one was for a 1950's themed party me and some pals went too. The top was one I had. In the photo of me and my pals.. my BFF on the right in red.. is an novice sewer.. but I sat right at her side (wine glass in hand) and provided support while she sewed her own dress. I was mighty freaking impressed I tell ya! (sorry these images are small.. oops!)

I sometimes dream of glorious fabrics only to wake, run to to my stash, and realize it's time for a trip to the fabric store...

is that a strawberry shortcake costume?! Cheesy I totally had the doll and I took her with me everywhere until she stared to look like Chucky.
I like how the second top has lacing down the front. it looks very well done!

It is better to have crafted and failed then never to have crafted at all.
Yes, I am stalking the Toys and Playthings board. Thanks for noticing!
I'm cheating on Craftster with Pinterest. It's ok though. There's overlap.
