Just one picture, but I have yet to post anything I've made (I'm really, really shy about my stuff).

Three lotus flowers I just made (one using 6 sheets, a simple one using one sheet, and a complicated one that didn't fare as well using one sheet). They're arranged around a lotus I embroidered on my "doodle" towel (just started learning and I liked the little lotus on Sublime). I love the lotus- it was actually my first (and still only  Undecided ) tattoo.

I think they're beautiful. I especially love the colors of the one on the right.

I finally started using some 'kimono' patterned paper I have. I love it! Smiley

I think they are lovely! Would the simple one be OK for kids to make? I have been trying out some origami with my kids and we have had fun but we do get frustrated easily if we cannot work them out - so would love to try it if it is not tooooo tricky!
Thanks,

It's not too hard, especially with the tutorials on http://www.foldsomething.com (thank god for that site! I'd been trying to do the complex one based on diagrams for nearly a year!). However, the 6 sheet one is really easy and might be best for kids.

All save the one on the left. It took me quite a while to get the petals just right. Now that I know how though, it's easy. Cheesy

Nice job with the lotus flowers.  They look great!  ... and thanks for the plug Smiley  I'm glad you like the site.  I recently (first two weeks in July) finished making a bunch of revisions - new theme, added features, re-organization.  Hope you still like the site Wink
