I made this using the quiltville tutorial -- and using entirely scraps (sans the border fabric and the backing which were 1/2 yard cuts).  This was going to be beautiful in my head and it turned out a little more ADHD than I intended Smiley  It's a gift for my recruiter who helped me transition from icky ip law at a mean firm to labor law at a friendly life-valuing firm.  So she really changed my life and I wanted to show her with a special quilt for picnics and the like.  Ummm, ask any questions as I don't know what else to say about this quilt.  Do others think this is too colorful and discontinued or like the kind of crazy home-spun look?

Oh yeah, it's hanging a little crooked, the back isn't so crooked (at least I don't think so...)

Love it - it is a very cheerful quilt, which is what I think you were probably trying to express.

Thanks everyone!

OH yeah, also these blocks are very large (approx 25") which is a nice way to make a quilt a lot faster ... just blow up a pattern to make it bigger and then you have to sew less together Smiley

This looks great, and I'd think anyone would be pleased to own it!  Great scrappy look and the big blocks are awesome.

I love quilts like this that you could just keep looking at and find something new. I feel like there is just enough coordination in this to prevent it looking totally random, and it really works!

Thanks everyone!  Strangely, I also think it looks a little modern despite the fairly traditional layout.
