some close friends of mine and my husband's were married last week, and the one thing the bride asked me to do was make her veil. she purchased the material and gave me very vague instructions, but i think i did a pretty good job.


the veil is floor-length chiffon, the hem is hand-sewn with a herringbone stitch, and the top is gathered and attached to a bracelet that was a gift for her wedding. you can see the bracelet here:



all in all, it was a beautiful spring wedding, and i was so glad i got to contribute at least a little. Smiley

Beautiful work!  Would you be able to show pictures of what the herringbone stitch looks like?  I'm sure I've seen it, but don't recognize the actual term for it.
