Squidley the Kraken!!!

I made this giant squid for my partner in the Amigurumi Addiction swap. She makes fantastic crochet squid but wanted a knit version. I used Hansi Singh's Kraken Sea Monster pattern from her book, Amigurumi Knits, to whip this guy up. My partner has named him Squidley which I think is perfect

.

The pattern was a bit challenging with loads of shot rows and increasing and decreasing and picking up stitches but overall it was really really fun!

He has pipe cleaners in his legs so he can hold on to things...

Here he is hanging out in my craft room...

And here he is making friends with my other swap buddies...

Cute squid and I'm quite jealous of that shelf of fabric! If your craft room is like that shelf, you have a great space in which to work!

. I will admit that my fabric is much more organized than my yarn. I'm still trying to figure out a good method for storing my skeins.

I definitely recommend the Amigurumi Knits book. It's challenging but the instructions are very detailed and easy to follow. All of the patterns are awesome.
