Here are a few things I finished over the last couple of months... They use different techniques, but I didn't want to create separate posts for each of them, so the post is a bit pic heavy... sorry...  Smiley

I started this piece in my 'I love quilting, but don't know how to start phase'. Looked for simple quilt blocks over the net and converted them into a cross stitch pattern.
Simple as they seem, they were actually very very time consuming.
The tension of the thread was a problem since I made it over a span of 2 years. I am such a louse I know...

This I found in a pattern book. Although I don't quite recognize the place of origin, but I liked the dress... I am sure it looks much much better in real!

These are from my shadow work phase. They are a part of a single table cloth.

The yellow thread doesn't stand out like this in person I promise. It must be the flash I guess....

I'd really like any C&C, any pointers to improve my technique...
Thanks
~Neet

Since I don't remember embroidery that well I can't speak to those pieces, but they all look great to me. But the cross stitch is awesome. I commend you on pushing through and finishing it. It's difficult to get/maintain the motivation to finish the long, time consuming pieces.

Thank you so much!! Smiley

Well Shadow work is basically herringbone stitch inside out on a sheer fabric. The flash made mine look too sheer but the person, the pieces look almost crayon tinted...

I worked on that piece on and off. and there were times when I just wanted to unpick the whole thing and do something else, but unpicking itself was such a big task so I decided to finish it instead!

Great work. The shadow work is very pretty, and it is to funny you make patchwork in cross stitch  Cheesy. And it looks very good. The girl in the dress is cute. I think I made something like that when I was young, from a book with traditional Romanian dresses - if I remember correctly.

Thank you!! I am yet to start quilting, so this was a good way to get a feel... Smiley
