lordy that is SOME stitching you did there. Vinyl is poopoo to sew on. I always feel bad for putting my machine through that! I always sucked at all video games so I am not a big nintendo fan but this chair displays AWESOME craftsmanship. I'm giving it a "this rocks"

Hey thanks! The toughest part was that once it was all in one big piece it weighed like 2 lbs, and was REALLY heavy to try and maneuver. It is so stiff and sucks trying to fit it through the machine.
My parents are supposed to bring me the stapler this weekend so I can finally finish it.

GASP
That is so amazing
so beautiful...
I'm insanely jealous right now.  You deserve some kind of craftster homecoming crown for that chair.  Hooray for you!

P.S. I have almost the EXACT same linoleum in my kitchen (minus sunspot).  When my apartment was being fixed up before I moved in, they were replacing a LOT of stuff, so I asked "the linoleum is being replaced too, right?"  and the owner looked at me like I was crazy and said "no, that's staying just the way it is."  sigh.

I read your manifestos and strange religious tracts.  You took me to your library and kissed me in the stacks.

karen, I don't know if I would say the nintendo control is played out, in my mind it is an icon of an era. I mean, is Van Gogh's Starry Night played out just because you can buy a print of it at any craft store? Well, maybe. But it still has intinsic value. The overexposure of the nintendo controller only testifies to the place it holds in so many peoples hearts, and can sentimental value really ever be overplayed? Can you really have to many nostalgia trips? Therefore, let the nintendo related projects spew forth in abundance! (I don't mean to come off as overzealous or oversensitive, because I am not meaning to be either. Fun and games, fun and games.)
