My mom's friend asked me to make this and I am pretty pleased with how it came out! I have made this pattern a couple times before (It's from Quilts for Kids) so I at least knew what I was doing! This is the first time I have purchased material for a quilt knowing what the pattern was going to be and buying specific amounts according to the pattern lol. Usually I either find fabrics from my stash or just buy a ton of coordinating fabrics and then try to figure out what to do with them!

That fabric is so cool! I love it! Where did you get it?

I'll swap for postcards, badges, maps or brochures from everywhere in the US! I'm an English teacher and always happy about authentic material for my classroom.

Thanks! It's from Joann's. Four of the fabrics are from the same line, and then I added the solid tan and the brown with tiny dots because I needed a couple more different fabrics to round out the pattern.

Great job on the quilting too. I cannot imagine attempting to get such straight lines.

Nice!!  I love that you also used the binding fabric to frame the inner square.
Those colors are great.

Monkeys and polka dots.  It can't get any better than that!  Grin Love the colors and pattern of the blocks, too.
