did you understitch?  Also pounding it with the clapper helps.

Understitch - after you sew the seam, you then sew the seam allowances down to the side that will show (try a google search).

Then you will pound it with a pounding block or clapper after a good press - DO NoT press the rolll line.

I hope that helps as to what understitching is. I had such trouble learning what it was. I'm mostly self taught even though I took a class in high school. That class was WAY too basic and haphazard

The sleeves went a bit wrong and I probably should have used buttons, but I really wanted to try my poppers out as they are the kind where you sort of squash two parts together to make either side of the popper.

I'm having trouble attaching the lining to my jacket. Does anyone know of any good tutorial?? I'm kinda dyslexic so any tutorial with lots of photos would be fantastic Smiley
