I adore gnomes! I wanted to make one for an afghan and I came up with this guy. Hope you like him!

Rogneta, Another thing you can try is to make each colored block a granny square. This way he will be very large!

Hmmm....Great minds think alike! For the eyes, the black may to too "dead" looking in a larger piece. Maybe green or light brown would liven him up. Just a thought. Also are you using the traditional granny or a more solid type? The beard squares could be irish rose squares for some texture. Anyway, I'm sure the afghan will turn out great whatever you decide.
