So, I'm on this, make my dull bags prettier kick. The problem is, I want to create custom painted shopping bags out of those reusable bags you get for a buck. My usual technique of just spraying matte finisher on fabric isn't working on these bags. Anyone have any clue on how I should paint them?

When I paint fabrics I just use regular acrylic paint witha little bit of textile medium added.  I think that would probably work on those really well.
