Thanks.

The book's full title is:  101 Designer One-Skein Wonders.  The necklace is on the front cover.

How lovely that looks!
Well done, lulu.

I only vaguely remember seeing that particular book title around here - when it first came out. That was ages and ages ago.
I will just have to look at this picture and drool, 'cause I doubt if there's much chance of finding it in any second-hand stores.

Try Amazon if you want to buy the book or check it out from the library.

jane2: i've seen this book at half price books once or twice, and it wasn't too badly priced. all the one-skein books have cute stuff in them Smiley

lulu: thanks for the full title. i'll have to see about getting this one so i can try out the pattern Smiley

Looks promising but can't make out details - do you have a better pic?

No, I don't have a better pix sorry.

Here's a description:  The pattern calls for approximately 178 beads I strung about 225.  Around the neck there is 20 beads on each side and in the front the beads hang in a full swag of four to six beads, done in short rows (knit required number of stitches wrap and turn. ) I used mercerized cotton and size 2 knitting needles.

The most difficult part of the patten was stringing the beads by hand.

It was a easy pattern I've only been knitting and crocheting for a few months.
