i made this book out of lunch size paper bags.  the cover is made with cardstock and felt.  i've painted a base on the pages, but i havent decided what im going to use it for yet.  let me know what you think!

tutorial:

this is my first tute, so if i need to elaborate on anything, please let me know!

1.  take your paper bags and fold them. the bottom part of the bag is what gets folded up. make sure that your folding it so that the side that has open flaps is in the inside.

2. you take two bags that have been folded, and glue the folds together.

3. once you have to sets of the above, you glue them back to back

it should look like this

4. you continue those steps until your book reaches the desired thickness. the last step before the cover is  to take a single bag folded like the others, and glue its back to the top page, and one to the back page. the flap is where the cover will be attached.

I think this has soooo many possibilities, especially for paper and ephemera.  What a great idea, putting the bags in a book.  Excellent job.  This rocks.

OMG for YEARS I held on to these lunch size paper bags knowing there would be a use for them eventually.  Then as soon as I give them away at a garage sale, you post this!!  There is definitely an interest, please post a tute!
