When sewing paper, do you use a regular sewing machine or one of those paper sewing machines?
Also, how did you do the light yellow swipes of color on/near the upper right-hand corner of the photo?

Hi Beekeebear!

I use my regular sewing machine for stitching on paper - - I do go through a lot of sewing machine needles, though! 
I have tried the smaller craft sewing machines, but I prefer my large heavy duty machine.

The color on the layout is Delta Acrylic Paint in Antinque White - brushed on with a foam brush - I am using textured cardstock, so it gives a nice look with the paint.
