here is the little cottage Ive been working on for what seems lke forever......it is all hand sewn and made out of recycled sweaters, blazers, sweatshirts.... there are few "new" things...like the seedbeads.... but for the most part everything was once something else.....

the vines were from a wool sweater that had been undone...(thanks to imafundork)....and YES, the leaves and vine were sewn on... the leaves one at a time... Tongue

a little flower on the front steps was made out of the lining of a woman blazer......
........and the little gardens in the front... (the one with the mushroom, was my entry in the tiny challenge a few months ago)

and just for a size reference......sorr y the ruler is upside down....just noticed it

it was a very time consuming project......but tons of fun trying to figure all of it out using recycled items.... thanks for looking

It's wonderful...reminds me of my great-aunt, who used to make laprobes for her local veteran's home using patches cut from recycled clothing crocheted together with yarn from unraveled sweaters.

I really enjoyed seeing your house.  Did you use cardboard or anything as stiffening for the base or the walls and roof of the house?  Or is it simply stuffed?  A tutorial would be terrific!   Wink

i used really thick interfacing on the base of the house.....but the house itself is just stuffed......and a tutorial would be sota hard to do since they all are different and I kinda make it up as I go along.... depending on the stuff I have on hand
