what an incredible gift!  i especially like the accordion book.  i saw that you mentioned you hope to add a tutorial... how did you come up with the rings that join the pages?  also, did you put more than one layer of the tea-dyed fabric onto the cardboard?  Looks like you did some rough painting of blue onto the page edges before you glued the final fabric on?  Thanks so much for sharing.  Inspirational.

With acrylics I used green (can't remember the exact shade) and metallic saphire. I'd paint a little, then add a different color until I had it layered just right. The cardboard book had the one layer of fabric, they were joined with some jump rings I got at the craft store, in the jewlery making section.
