OnePinkHippo, I would email them to myself, but for some reason my phone has decided that it wont email for the time being. yikes! but my boyfriend has agreed to take pictures for me this evening when he takes pictures of his knitting so I should be okay, the laptop will upload from his SD card Cheesy

I decided to keep working on aprils project AND start my Inga.

A boyfriend that knits? Crazy talk. lol

I was looking around on the Web for ideas for my granny squares when I realized that Mother's Day is Sunday and my sister's birthday is Monday, so I've decided to make each of them a pair of granny square slippers. Here's what I have so far (for my 15-year-old sister):

I think she'll love them! I'll post progress pics as I make them. I'll be working on these between study breaks all week.

haha yes TheRobotSays, He knits like a madman, and makes AMAZING sweaters. I would post a pic in here but I believe that might be off topic.

The only down side to having a man that knits and is crafty is that taking him to the craft store is just as bad as taking myself haha.

msface i LOVE the red/orange combination!~

Thanks, lady_sepulchre!!! I love your Puscifer quote =P. I wish my bf liked crafting...all I hear about are cars, guitars, and pin-ups! Haha. I have 4 squares to go until i get to try to sew these puppies together! I really need to be typing a paper right now...oh well  Grin

haha, i have to hear about knitting, video games, zombie movies, building stuff, and how much my messy craft stash compared to his neat one annoys him.
I am also supposed to be typing a paper. I <3 puscifer. I even have the logo tattooed on my lower back.
I started the squares for my Inga bag and am loving them. they go soooo much quicker than the squares for the afghan!

Yeah, my bf isn't the crafty type just video games & cars but my friend mr. bones wants me to teach him crochet...possibly knit if I get better.
I might do 2 projects at 1 time.  I made a japanese boucle bag, & I don't like it, it's too small so I might unravel it & make an inga bag too.

Holy cow! You guys have made some awesome progress! I'd feel ashamed that I've only done 2 small squares for this month, but I'm pretty happy that I've managed to squeeze in one a day around everything else I've got going Wink

OnePinkHippo: I'd lay the bag flat and take it's width and height (to where you'd want the lining to end) measurements. Then, measure across the bottom and divide that distance in half and add it to the height measurement. Adding seam allowances, cut out 2 rectangles, then stitch up the sides, box the bottom corners and hem the top edge. Finally, hand stitch it to the bag... I'd offer to do one for you but I just got the call that my sewing machine is broken beyond repair  Cry

Ok, so I reread and saw that giant grannys work too. So picture time.

I plan on doing 1 or 2 more rows of blue, and then changing back to yellow.
Its my first granny project, and my first time changing colors.
