Oh man now I want pringles!
The way my current April project is looking I will most likely have to use some of mays CAL to finish it.

Alright! Tomorrow is the big day! We begin our Granny-A-Day for the month of MAY!

I will be renaming this thread as ACTIVE and we will begin rockin' and rollin'!

Please post pics of your progress as often as you can. If you are carrying over a previously started granny project show us your starting point!

Have fun! Can't wait to see all the new work!

So, I figured I'd jump on the Inga's Bag bandwagon! I just printed out the pattern and I'm thinking of using cotton yarn- I have a brown solid and a light purple solid so I just need to figure out another color (or 2) to put with them. I have some variegated that could work (although I need more of it) and then I could add in a 4th color if I can find what I want. Might have to make a trip to the craft store, especially since a storm is rolling in and I should probably shut down the computer Wink

LOL! I just got back from the store and I picked up green and pink... and I also picked up a dark purple that I liked better Wink Because I'm lazy, I'm going to do solid color blocks so I don't have to weave in a ton of ends. That way, I may actually get a project finished! Grin

I totally want in on this! I have a medical problem that doctors haven't been able to identify yet. They think it's mono, but it's too early to tell. Plus, I have impetigo on my face, so I'm not about going out and about anytime soon...with the exception of four finals I have to take at the University this coming week!

I was bored and bummed and stumbled across this thread...it inspired me to make my first granny square ever! I followed the tutorial link and this was my result:

It was really easy to make, and I really enjoyed doing it. I think I'll make another! I'm excited about this crochet-along. I looked at last month's and am very excited to see what everyone makes this time around! I plan on using black as the base for all of my squares, but am going to randomly do things with them as I go along.

WOO!!! =)

I have cabin fever.

:edit:

So I decided to keep going with the granny square and made this:

msface - I am so happy you could join us AND you are our first progress poster!

(You even beat me! Only because of a dead and non charging camera battery that I am about to throw in the road and run over with my car until I am satisfied!)

What I am trying to say is WELCOME!
I hope this cheers you up!

I havent decided if I want to post what I have of Aprils CAL project and continue that, or just continue it in the background and do the Inga bag. I should be working on the afghan since I have another afghan lined up after that one, but I want an Inga so bad!

Nice squares msface! I used black as my last row and joining color in the project I am doing now and was doing for the April CAL and It is so fun to work with since it makes the colors pop!
