This recipe is great, because it's so fast and in the end you don't have too much cake. I made one of these and the only problem I have is that it's too dry - well, my mistake i nuked it for another 15 seconds... anyway, thanks for sharing! Smiley

I made one tonight and we both enjoyed it very much. I used what I had on hand which was chocolate raspberry hot cocoa and peanut butter chips for the chopped chocolate. I used a Tupperware vent and serve mug since I have no large coffee mugs and finished with 1 minute instead of 30 second to compensate for the lack of ceramic adding heat. I also had some leftover chocolate butter cream in the fridge that I frosted with while hot and it melted into the cake and made it very moist.

Thank You for sharing this!

What we do is use cake mix and applesauce or pumpkin pie filling. Scoop up some cake mix and add one puree or the other until you have a moist batter, then nuke it for a minute at a time until it's cake (time depends on your microwave). This way my daughter can use her organic gluten free-dairy free cake mixes whenever she wants something sweet. Pumpkin and chocolate brownie mix is super delish.

Whoever came up with making a chocolate mug cake/brownie...is evil. Seriously! I can eat a brownie every day now! Not good. lol But soo delicious.

I had tried a few different recipes but never found one I liked. But I have found the perfect recipe! Well, one I like at least. I kind of made it up based on another one...

4 tbsp flour
4 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp apple sauce
2 tbsp sour cream
3 tbsp choco chips
1 tsp vanilla

Microwave for 3 minutes.

I like this one. It's more cakey than brownie which I do like. Want more chocolate? Just add more chocolate chips! Smiley And I've made it three or so times and haven't had a problem with it being too dry. It's turned out perfect every time.

Tadah! Made this for DS and yours truly this afternoon. Tasted mighty good. Next time we'd probably put a little raspberry jam halfway in the batter as a layer. And some creme fraiche on top afterwards.
Yeah ok, you can make a brick taste good this way.   Cheesy

Anyho, we were very pleasantly surprised at the result. Scribbled it down in my cookbook. Thanks for posting it.
