I've been knitting for ages but I've never actually felted anything. I think you just pretty much knit something big and then put it in the washing machine. I'm oversimplifying I'm sure
.
its actually even easier, you knit the little pieces, sew it together so you have a big floppy chicken, fill your sink with warm water, stick the chicken in and basically agitate it to death, just rub it and smash it until it shrinks up and you cant see clearly defined stitches!
That sounds like fun!!!! I'm definitely gonna have to give it a whirl soon!

I got my package from Lydia the Strange!
Dracula's Birthday - This great Got Blood shirt! Its done in puff paint and is just too awesome!
Star Wars Day - An awesome bead painting of the Star Wars logo, everything you see is beads!
Save a Rhino Day - This little guy already has a home in my craft room, its a very sad Rhino painting but sadness doesn't stop him from being adorable!
Thanks Lydia! Great job on your first swap!! (Sorry for the single photo, my camera is on the fritz and it died right after I took this one
)

That Star Wars logo is all in beads?!?! Wow. Lydida, do you have another picture of it? The Rhino is adorable. Great package!!
I received too!! YAAAYYYY!!! Murbeck made me the most awesomely thoughtful swap items. She is SO creative and always puts such a fun spin on her partners odd holidays. Her package was extra special because she made things for my Fiance and I to enjoy together. I think these really count as our first wedding gifts. FUN!!
First something for me...
PICKLE DAY
!! Murbeck made me the coolest pickle pillow and also managed to incorporate Horray for Buttons day. I was just complaining that I needed a pillow for my craft room chair. Here it is in its new home...
For
Barbeque Day
murbeck made us this sign to hang up outside! We do TONS of BBQ'ing in the summer months so this will be really fun to hang above the que. It's a salmon which is perfect because I work right by the famous Seattle fish market (Pike's Place) and buy salmon there ALL the time.
Lastly, for
Space Day
, murbeck made the most thoughtful constellation button embroidery. It's so beautiful and special. We both LOVE it. It has the constellations for our astrological signs...Aries & Capricorn. We are in the process of re-doing our bedroom. Once we're finished, this will hang somewhere there. For now I've already found a place for it in my craft room.
Thank you thank you thank you, murbeck!! Both of us love what we received
.

ZOMBINA SKELETON
I am so glad your package arrived and that you like what I sent. Just a little background on the projects....
The
GOT BLOOD?
shirt was my 10 year old daughters idea. She actually helped make it. She thought is would be really cool to have the word blood dripping... she loves to craft!
The Heart Broken Rhino painting was inspired by the cute little rhino from the movie One Crazy Summer. Save a rhino from heartbreak!
The Star Wars logo in beads was inspired by another craftster project I saw on this board. Someone did a beaded Superman logo that was beyond aewsome and I thought the Stars Wars logo would look just as cool that way. Bead painting is very time consuming..... but so much fun!
This was such a fun swap to take part in. As soon as I get pictures of the items Zombina Skeleton made me I will post them! She was a great swap partner!

Thanks!!!! LOL- the pickle pillow was what had me tooting my own horn after I made it, lol. I was so happy that I had the right stuff in my stash, it just kind of all fell into place
And the sign, well that is my "specialty" if you will. Not that I am a specialIST doing it, but I have a lot of fun doing personal signs and find myself putting my absolute best work into those. The constellation I am glad is going over well, it started off a little wonky and the buttons were a little uncomfortable looking at first so I wasn't sure what other craftster's aspects of it would be
OMG- that Rhino is SO CUTE!!!! And I love the shirt, you must be so proud to be able to have your daughter assist you! The bead sign is totally wicked too. GREAT all around package!

I just managed to find the gallery! (its been a crazy week...) Everyone is sending such great stuff. I hope tlh878 is happy with what I've sent her.
The rhino from "One Crazy Summer"! Savage Steve Holland did the animated bits in that, and in "Better Off Dead" (and directed/wrote them). Ah, gotta love 80's John Cusack movies!
