bought it new from hobby lobby Undecided i wonder if it happens because it's organic material?

Hmm, yeah but it could have been on their shelf for awhile? Their bases are kinda crummy quality, was it Life of the Party brand?

i think we determined that you need high quality, new soap base. the older or crummier ones will tend to react funny with the tea.
