Random Acts of Kindness/Positive Thinking Craftalong

Everyday I see people in my daily routine that are kind to me.  This year, I decided I was going to learn their names and make them something.  To start, I made this hat for the wonderful cashier at the "chain burrito place" where I have lunch once every two weeks or so.
She is funky, crazy and just so nice to everyone...she works hard and is fast and is efficient on that cash register.  I don't know her name yet, but I will ask her when I take her this thank you gift!



It is crocheted from scraps I had in my stash so it really cost me nothing but time!

Oh Always, you are the sweetest thing! I worked for Chipotle for two years and my personal experience was so horrible. When my coworkers weren't being terrible I had customers yell at me even when I worked so hard to make their visit memorable. I do remember that a customer gave me a gift one holiday season and it really made me happy. I'm sure she will be happy to receive it.

It is bad enough when customers give hardworking folks a bad time...but co-workers should rally together for support and just make the best of things during these hard times...I am hoping that maybe a little positive energy will be contagious...

I am now working on a Steelers scarf for the guy that helped me out at "DIY place"!

UPDATE:  I had lunch at the "chain burrito place" with my girlfriend today...the cashier that I made that I made the hat for squealed and started shouting : "That's the lady who made me the hat!"...the manager came up and gave us our lunch for free!!!!!

And, here is some more kharmic news....this morning, I was called by the manager (who did not know who I was...) and was told that my business card was pulled out in the monthly drawing for lunch for 15 people!!!  I am taking my entire office next month!

wow--I feel lucky!  maybe there is something to be said about this "what goes around comes around" thing

Almost done with the Steelers scarf...and then I will work on a beautiful scarf for another very nice guy!
