I need to start working on these little kit/bags I've been wanting to make for the homeless people around my house for the colder weather. Not sure exactly what I'm going to put in them, but a few sensible things and some granola bars and bottled water or something. I just want to have something to give out when I see someone that looks like they could use a little something.

Oh Maremare--what a good idea!  I have so many scarves and hats that I will never be able to wear...I almost feel guilty for having too many, but I love the process of making things, but don't really need them...it would be great to wrap a scarf around a bottle of water and some food...something not too ostentatious as to be insulting...I know people are proud even if they are in need...

My younger sister is now starting to sew---I made her a book on how to make a tissue holder with real samples...she went to town and made at least 30 of them! wow!  I told her that she should hand them out to people who might need a tissue or a pick me up...she really liked the idea of doing something random like that in her depressed town in Michigan...Cheesy  Another one for the cause!

My girls and I had wonderful plans for crafty RACs over the holidays. Unfortunately, things got chaotic (as they always seem to during this time of year) and we were not able to make the items we wanted to. Although it wasn't crafty, my girls and I brought cookies (store bought so they would be sealed and eaten) to the emergency room, a hospice, and the post-office on the day of Christmas eve.

We are looking into some options for the new year and hoping to make crafty random acts of kindness a more regular part of my life so I hope that this craftalong is continuing....

I don't know why I hadn't thought of buying sealed cookies. That would be such a nice thing to do on any given day.

This is a random, easy thing to do...when buying something via paypal (I just got something on ebay for my brother) you can donate as little as $1 to feed hungry kids where there is a drought. Click and donate while you're buying something else, easy peasy!

I was just reading a post by Knickertwist about a wonderful RAK that she did (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=410334.0) and it made me think of this craftalong!

This craftalong has been pretty quiet for a bit...  Anyone have any great summer (or winter - for those of you in the southern hemisphere) random acts of kindness planned?

I love the idea of setting up an anonymous email to hear any stories of people finding your art!

I have been making BF (best friend) quilted coasters--two in a pack: one for you and one for your best friend.  I just leave them around for people to find...

I did tissue holders in the winter; small pouches this spring...I will need another winter project--maybe something small like knickertwist did!
