~ How about anything found in and around the home, eg...off cuts of material, old clothes, buttons off old clothes, socks, beanies ... that just a few things that came to mind.

~ another idea i thought of was maybe turning an old bag into a new bag with lots of mods (lots more pockets, big bag turned into a smaller bag and so on) or maybe use old towels, old shower curtians ..  and thats about where my mind blanks out for any more ideas.

This will be the first challenge i've ever competed in, it's seems like it would be a great one to start off with.. so excited, I cant wait!!

Hmm, what about 'something found at a thrift store' or something similar?  It's general, but it could get a wide variety of items.  Or a pillow cover, an old blanket, old jewelry/beads ...

And just as a suggestion, I think a picture of the materials before being made into a bag would be a cool addition to the final product.
