Thanks, everyone! I'm glad you like. I just hope someone finds the tutorial useful, since I've gotten so much interesting stuff of craftster (and the internet in general), so wanted to make a contribution.

This bra was a 36D. Sometimes I take a 38D (depending on brand/style). I think it's still going to hurt my neck a little (an issue I have with halter tops), but the cups and underwire are still there, so it feels exactly like wearing a bra (at least to me, who NEVER goes without). Hope this helps give you an idea whether you'd like to try it or not.
