My little boy has recently learned how to play "Super Baby". He puts his hands in the air and walks around going "sssss" like he is flying. It's adorable. Yesterday we had a snow day (I know, in April?) and while he napped I felt inspired to make him a Super Baby cape. It has a "G" for Gavin on it too. I think it's adorable, and it was really easy to make! If you want to make one for your own little superhero, you can find the tutorial on my blog here: http://acireg.blogspot.com/2010/04/play-cape-tutorial.html

I'd love C&C, and pics if anyone tries my tutorial!

Way awesome! I love the tute and I love the cape! It is fantastic that you reused a tshirt. I may have to hit the thrift store . I made a few of these from a (complicated!) pattern. Just a side note, I liked adding a bit of velcro to the end of the neck instead of long ties. One it made it easier for little hands to take on and off (they couldn't tie yet) and two I was always afraid someone would get it stuck on something and get strangled. ( I am the way over protective Mom!) Awesome job! BTW, your little superhero is adorable!

The velcro thing is an awesome point. I like the look of ties, but I can barely get him to stand still while I tie a bow in it!
And thanks everyone for the comments Smiley
