So, my mom-in-law and sis-in-laws birthdays are in a month, so I figured I'd make them spoon pendants that I've been drooling over for months now.

Here's Mom-In-Laws:

She's an ex-hippie.  Her husband and her met in the Forest Service and of course were married in the forest.  So I wanted to do something very organic and naturey.

This is Sis-In-Laws:

She just loves peace signs. So I made her a peace sign!

Here's a couple in progress shots:

I still have to pour the resin, but first I have to go to Michaels to get the resin. I found both images on-line.  I just did a Google image search of keywords "nature" and "peace sign".

And here they are finally finished!
You can't really tell in the photos, but I cut out and painted another little black bird in the nature pendant and he's just kind of floating above the scene:

And I painted PEACE on a little piece of plastic and floated it on top of the peace pendant:

They're both a little bubbly, but I didn't mix the resin, so I'm going to blame my bestie for doing that lol.  But I love them and I'm sure my mom & sis-in-law will too Smiley
Hope you like them!

Those are definitely awesome. I can't wait to see what they look like with resin on them!

I am looking to do a personal swap with (or will outright pay for) a knitter who could make an adult sized knitted t-rex sweater for Christmas. If anyone is interested, please let me know.

Those are fantastic!  I love em.  Did you have to do anything to them to get the paint to stay on the spoon?  Or did you just start painting on them?  I've been wanting to do resin spoons as well, never thought of painting them.  Great job, they're beautiful, I love them!

They are so lovely! I especially love the nature-themed one. I'm sure they'll be very happy about these.

Wow. When I saw this on the home page, I wondered how you got such a intricate image on the spoon. Painting makes so much sense. Grin Beautiful work.
