The new candle holders are in the kiln for a few more hours, so I can't photograph them together yet, but I cut the tops and bottoms off brown beer bottles for the coasters, and the bottoms of the bottles are in the kiln hopefully draping into votive holders similar to the one here from last year-

and just for the record, the tops and sections of the necks go into necklaces...

wish the batch of candleholders in the kiln luck!

hmm, they're a bit overcooked! They turned into little cups, but tiny flakes of glass stuck to the molds since they were too hot, and rather than re-fuse them I think they'll hold candles on my porch just fine now that the inside that stuck is sanded down... on to the next batch!

Oh those are great!  Did you slump the bottles first and then refire them to smooth the cut edges??  Or use a bottle cutter and they slumped into coasters first?

...So...This is what insanity must be like, I thought.....and I could kind of see the appeal.
