Long-time lurker, first-time poster, thought I'd share the results of what I made from this pattern!  
Thank you all for all of the great info. I've only been knitting for a year or two, and craftster actually inspired me to learn!

I used Caron Simply Soft 3-stranded w/size 15 needles. I added on a couple of inches to the ribbing, but it still was shorter than my liking. It's unflattering, and i due it to the fact that it's a fitted bulky shirt, but I'm still happy with it - as it's my first sweater!
