I am posting a few pictures for my partner. Hopefully we will be able to see some action shots soonish.

I made a reversible vest. This is the second piece of clothing I have made for a male.
The pictures are taken on a female dress form because that is all I have. I was very inspired by making this piece and want to make more clothing for men.

It's creepy, weird, adorable and cozy in exactly the right proportions! Well done, and I'm looking forward to seeing it being worn.

That is not what I was going for at all.

Hmm.... creepy I think because of the colour combination, somehow. Those are actually colours that I wear all the time, but somehow I find the patches of green and white peeking out seemingly from inside the smooth chestnut brown to be just a bit unsettling. (Somehow the tree is involved in this, though I couldn't say why.) And weird I think because of the aggressive jagged stitching on the patches, like someone trying to deface or obliterate them. (I actually like this, which makes them weird in a good way!) Cozy because of the warm brown (I know, I know, I just said the colour was creepy. Don't go looking for rationality here!) and details like the argyle. And the adorableness comes from little details like the buttons and loops, the word tape, etc.

My favourite bit is the patch at the centre of the shoulders. A little masterpiece right there.

I also like the free motion stitching in the white around that one patch, has an icy feel, and it never occurred to me to do the patches this this. I think I am probably going to gibbous up a lot of my old stuff just to give it more life.

I would love to see an action shot of that vest.
