WOW that's so cool....I wonder how well that would stay together out here? I live in the dry prairies of canada but it's my first time having a yard....maybe burlap on the inside would help the bottom stay together?

I checked out the site but saw it was mostly inspiration and not DIY! Cheesy

very cool, please update as it goes along!

I would think that if you kept it sprayed down with a water bottle it would be fine. I live in the south so we have a lot of humidity but the sun and heat drys everything out! I have just been spraying it down everyday.

Seeing yours sprout is making me want to try this even more! Whats did you plant? And I take it from the previous comment that you have been spraying them with water from a spray bottle, correct? Im so curious to try this but it looks hard!

I planted cilantro, basil, and oregano. I have been spraying them down with a spray bottle every day and every 2 or 3 days I poor some water on them depending on how dry they look. Give it a try, it isn't hard at all and if you mess up all you have lost is some dirt, moss and $1 worth of seeds! Smiley

Sadly I moved from my cute little duplex to a apartment. So my string garden had to go. They were going strong until I had to give them away. I hope they still are.
