I received from Mellifluous a week ago, but I just got my camera back. So here's my package:

The whole lot together: a pillow with a satin back, a coaster, a book of Tennyson poems, a notebook with my initial (my first name is Erin), a set of sticky notes (which I always need) and three magnetic bookmarks.

I'm so glad you like everything Erin. With all the lovely stuff everyone else got I hoped you wouldn't be disappointed. Unfortunately cross stitch is very labor intensive but I love the finished product.

There are so many great poems out there it was hard to choose a few favorites. I have a new favorite in Renascence, which I hadn't read before, so thank you for that.

That pillow is amazingly beautiful, and I love the coaster as well. I know how labor-intensive cross-stitch is, and you did a wonderful job, Mellifluous!

Thanks everyone. The quote on the pillow says: "The world stands out on either side, no wider than the heart is wide. Above the world is stretched the sky, no higher than the soul is high." It's become one of my favorite quotes.

I was hoping my package might have made it by this weekend but no such luck. Maybe tomorrow. *crosses fingers*

I received a wonderful swap package from Staar84 on Friday. Everything is so well crafted. I especially like the Raven embroidery which is somewhat wrinkly in the pictures but will look awesome on my wall when it's framed. So, without further ado, here are my goodies! 

First up is a series of magnets with two of my favorite poems, "Stopping By the Woods on a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost and "suppose" by e.e. cummings. They were made line by line so I can mix and match them when on display.



This is the last three lines of "suppose". Even in the daytime the light isn't too good in here so I tried to improvise, but I'm afraid they're a bit blurry.

Then I got two notecards with another favorite "Daffodils" by Willam Wordsworth.



The best part here is that the lines of the poem are on the flower petals. Just a perfect way to share this great poem.

But best of all is this awesome embroidery of "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe. You all should see thise stitches, so tiny and neat. Simply incredible!



I also got a book of the Best Western Poems, which I've been enjoying this weekend.
