My daughter is about to start preschool at a Japanese preschool and there was a list of supplies I needed to get. When I took the list to the store I was led to the elastic section of the store. Yikes. Looks like I need to make the stuff. They needed a cup bag, a jump rope bag and an eye mask & pouch to keep it in. They do sell cup bags, but none of them were padded and they insisted that she have a ceramic cup, so I decided to make that bag too. I let my daughter pick the fabric and then set to work.

So here are her preschool supplies. Smiley

Thanks for looking! Smiley

Whatever happened to backpacks for kids.... Ah well, at least you made a lot of really cute stuff!  I wonder what all the non-crafty mammas do....?

Yes, I did free hand the eye mask & pouch, although they did give measurement in width and height for the eye mask, but not the pouch.  But I pretty much just drew it out then cut and sewed it. Smiley

That is a very cute set! Amazing that they ask for eyemasks - I can't imagine that here in the UK! Or ceramic cups - they'd probably send Health and Safety round Wink

They said they need ceramic cups because if they have plastic ones they tend to bang them on things. LOL

Okay so once again I am completely redoing my pictures. Got tired of photobucket, the only reason I used it was for here so I decided I will just use Craftster's photo uploader. So while I am switching over my photo links will be broken. Message me if there is a post you would like the pics for.
