No real back story. I figured a nautical themed necklace earring set would be nice to have. Thus the nautical swallow and star. The meaning behind the swallow is mixed. Mainly it represents a long voyage with the promise of returning home, just like swallows will do naturally. They would get swallows tattooed every time they sailed 5000 nautical miles.
The Nautical Star on the left wrist aligned with the thumb is believed to be a positive guide for the future. The left palm is used in palm readings to reveal a persons future and the nautical star is used in this instance to guide the palm.
