This is the sort of thing I love, and you've done it so well. Brilliant! I don't know what I like best, but the whole thing is just so RIGHT. It rocks!!  Cheesy

Wow, thank you!  I have a hard time picking a favorite part myself, it was all so fun to do.

Everything about this is just pure awesome! I love the flamboyant pig, and even the way you finished the back is so charming.

And I thank you again for introducing me to random toile graffiti  Cheesy

Thank you so much!  If you want to see some really amazing embroidered toile search "Richard Saja."  He's amazing.  Compared to him I feel like I'm just coloring in.

WOW!   My son & I have read that particular pig story about a million times so seeing it brought to life in stitches is a treat!!!!   Great job!  I love it!

Wow, thanks!  I don't know the pig story and throughout the project was wondering which one it was.  Will you tell?

I'm pretty sure this is The Tale of Pigling Bland.  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tale_of_Pigling_Bland)

It rocks so much!!  Grin

WHOA!  I've never even heard this story, but the title, i.e. "Bland," and the part where they're going to the market fits right in with my stitch!  It was meant to be.

THANKS!

It's true! And Pigling Bland is in fact the fellow on the left. Perfect! However, our Dandy is ever so much fancier...

This is like a hilarious tribute to Richard Saja, one of my favorite artists!  I love that you don't just rely on one stitch, but choose your stitches to suit the mood and shape of the elements.  Great!

Thank you!  The chain was a lot less trouble than I thought it would be.  Of course, it's short which helps.  Wink

Ha!  Are those pigs wearing pants?  That's crazy!  Pigs don't wear pants; everyone knows that.

I LOVE Richard Saja.  Many years ago I saw a plaster lamp that had bas relief Greek scenes that had been repainted with hilarious costumes and additions and wanted to do something like that.  Then several years ago it occurred to me that I could do that with embroidery on toile, but I never found a toile that inspired me.  Then a couple years ago I found this Beatrix Potter toile at an interior designer's studio sale.  Shortly after I found Richard Saja and my heart both sank (because someone beat me to it and was better than I could hope to be) and filled (because his work is just so fantastic).

I love this piece, but you already know that.  Wink It's quirky and funny but besides that, your stitching is perfection.

I've become convinced that there is nothing you can't do.
