For years I had been saving the fortunes from fortune cookies in a jar, with no project in mind.

Three years ago a friend was having a baby.  I thought it would be a good idea to cover a mirror with the fortune cookies.  Some of the fortunes were pink or in pink font, which was perfect, because she was having a girl.

I ran out of pink fortunes midway through the mirror, but I found some templates on the web.  I printed them on pink paper, and kept going.

I thought this would make an auspicious gift for a baby, as the fortunes are always very positive.  One of these cracked me up:

Maybe the uncomfortable situation was a dirty diaper?   Cheesy

Then I was left with a whole bunch of white fortunes, so I made another mirror:

Hope you like them!

I just started a shop in Etsy.  Come check out my cork boards!

Or come visit me on Facebook!

Or follow me on Twitter!

Thank you!

I have a collection of fortunes too and until now had no idea what to do with them.  I am thinking about making a picture frame instead of the mirror.  Thanks for inspiring me!
