I got these fat quarters months ago and just couldn't figure out what to make. Then I decided I was tired of my wallet and *light bulb*

It's my first wallet and I learned some good things. First of all it's huge 7.5"x5" folded. Also I shouldn't have run a final seam around the edge because the card holding pockets are small. Thank goodness I eyeballed center because only one side fits the wide part of a card.

I still like it a lot and have gotten compliments when I bust it out to pay for something.  Tongue

I love it! I love the birdcage fabric on the outside..did you stiffen the wallet with anything, or is it all just cotton?

There is a layer of batting but that's it. Here is the tutorial I used. She quilted her outer and I just used on piece.
