Hey! I've been doing a bit of embroidery lately to try to work on my skills... There are just so many amazing embroiders here that I admire, so I wanted to get better, especially with special stitches and whatnot! I had been sticking to backstitch, but I want to improve french knots and chain stitch. Here are a few I've done in the past month or so:

Had to fill in colors on with acrylic paints. The thought of stitching in a solid color was all too daunting.

Turned this one into a pin cushion... All of them are done in a 6'' hoop except for this one, it's 3''x3''!

I hope you enjoyed looking at 'em!

these are all so pretty!  the bird reminds me of the roly poly bird from the book "the twits" (by roald dahl!)

RAAAARAH!

Thanks you guys!!! I'm excited to learn some more cool stitches... I've been browsing the youtube vids on difference stitches and there are so many I want to try but haven't had the imagination as to what I'd use em for.

Beautiful work.  I admire anyone who has the patience for stitch work, and yours is better than most.
