Frugal Living 2: Return of the Cheap Gallery

Round three would be great in a few months.  I'm still being controlled by a twelve pound baby (yes, he weighs twelve pounds at ONE month - he's enormous!!!) but maybe by then I'll have a bit of free time available (and motivation) for crafting.

12 lbs...... thats not a baby, its a toddler  ........ my daughter wasnt 12lbs till she was about 5months old (but she was little)......

and I would love to see some pictures of that little boy of yours....

And yes, my child is enormous.  I think my breastmilk must be 25% fat or something.   My daughter was bigger at birth than Ben was but she wasn't this big at a month old.  Maybe the feedings every two hours have something to do with it..?

on another note I found(someone in a swap used this) cereal packets, you know the plastic stay fresh ones.....I kept all mine and washed them out but am yet to try it though I think it would be more food friendly than contact paper( re: not made for food but made for books thingo)

Just a though.

cereal packets are pretty thick too so they should hold up to stitching better also.

I used Mylar recycled potato chip bags to line the sandwich wraps I sent.  I got the idea from here frenchsleepdeprivat ionstudy.blogspot.c om .  There is a tutorial about how to make sandwich bags and tips on what kind of recycled bags work best.  http://www.grafixplastics.com/mylar_what.asp

And thank you all!  I'm trying to make a waterproof liner for a  fabric waste basket ... and now I have lots of awesome ideas.  (Hmm, does this mean I get to eat a big bag of chips?)

Haha, yeah I noticed that after I took it - that the mod podge was in the picture.  Along with a whole lot of other junk.  My desk is a dreaful mess right now. 

And thanks, everyone.  I'm absolutely in love with the little fellow.  I did think I would have a girl again but haven't had one moment of wishing he was a girl..he's just so sweet as he is.  

I'm having a crafting dry spell right now...but I'm trying not to beat myself up for it seeing that Ben is only five weeks old.
