Great stuff, Troublet.  The napkins are beautiful and the dishclothes are my favorite pattern.  They do a great job scrubbing and cleaning up spills and apparantely are great to snuggle with during trying times.  I'll try the whole snuggly dishcloth idea next time I'm doing homework with my girls.

My husband did look at me weird the first time he noticed that I was petting and stretching a dishcloth. I've never received any knitted before so I am fascinated. It did do wonders for my stress level. LOL

I should be crafting, instead I'm cleaning house before the lady bringing me fabric because of the Craigs List ad gets here.  WHY WHY WHY do I let it get so out of hand around here?HuhHuhRoll Eyes  And why do I clean rooms that will have the door closed anyway??? Huh  But thank goodness for generous hearted strangers!!! Kiss

Awesome stuff!

You sent pretty early, right? It's not send out time yet, riiight???  Tongue

Yes!  I sent quite early.  You've got two more weeks. Cheesy

I'm going to have to, eventually, have to figure out how to make wool dryer balls.  There's some time left as hubby just bought dryer sheets from Costco.  So I suppose that buys me a year or two research time  Cheesy

I used the tutorial that's link on the frugal craft list.  If you can wind things into a ball, you can make it!  Cheesy

Awesome stuff. Can I recommend the bank dividers go... savings, spending, Charity, and gifts. It can be really fun to find a charity with your children for them to give to. My daughter like the Animal shelters best of all. we go on weekends to the pet food chain that has shelter animals there and she gets to pet them and give them a treat then give a donation too.Or church tithing is 10% if you would like to teach that.  Gifts teaches children the joy of gifting. I like to give more then receive and now my children know that joy too. Even if they do most of there shopping at thrift stores and dollar stores, & the clearance isles.  I also let my Daughter have all the pennies we get. and she likes to return the shopping cart when we go food shopping because I let her keep the quarter. Oh and you have beautiful children.

Ah, so we don't have to knit or crochet to make the dryer balls....hmmm....I may have to look into that.

That is a beautiful and usefull package you sent Kaz.  I love the savings bank idea and those knitted dishcloths have aways been a favorite of mine.  What a nice way to get the gallery started.

just an update on the free fabric from the Craigs List Ad:  This incredibly generous lady brought me a huge amount of fabric today ---there must be 50 to 75 yards or more, some on the bolt, lots of it still tagged with price tags from the store!  Amazing!  and bunches of large size patterns and some craft ones too.  I was so blessed!  It is mostly cotton fabric, with every color solid you can think of and prints suitable for quilts too.

Ooh, I received!  I will take pictures tonight or tomorrow (depending on if I can get dinner done before the sun goes down!) and post them.

It's an AWESOME package.

Okay, here it is!!!

The whole lot:

Closeup of the dishcloths and scrubbies:

The really awesome binder filled with a grocery list, a pantry list and a ton of very yummy recipes!  I am all excited to try some out!

Yaaaay!  Dryer balls and a swiffer cover!  *bounces*

And the piece de resistance - a FANTASTIC bag made out of old jeans.  There's gorgeous green fabric for the lining.  It is so well-made!  I can't wait to take it to the grocery store - everyone will be jealous!

Thank you SO SO much, Troublet!  You totally spoiled me!  Hee.  I love it all.

I'm so glad you like your goodies!  Grin

The repurposed jean bag is made out of a skirt that I found in the thrift store. There was a tiny spot along the bottom of the hem but you wouldn't know it now in its new form.  I kind of just winged the pattern, very loosely based off of a Threadbanger's tute. I really enjoyed making it. Smiley
