So, my almost two year old is fascinated with Dora the Explorer and her monkey pal Boots. Dear daughter's birthday is this Thursday and I made these up for gifts. It's my first time making a dress for her. Also my first time using the Pretty Ditty apron pattern. I love, love, love the apron and can't wait to make one in my size!

So, so cute!  I'm sure she's going to adore these Smiley

My boyfriend's niece loves Dora too and I've already made her a Dora cake but these are so cute I might have to give it a try.  The apron is amazing for a little girl in her play kitchen - or helping mom in the grown-up kitchen.  Sami would love these - Thanks for the inspiration!

Thank you! I thought the apron might be too much work to make for a toddler to wear for play, but I really wanted to try the pattern out and it was pretty simple. I got it done in one morning.  Smiley

Love these and I just adore the apron. Where did you get the pattern and is there a adult size pattern too?

Thank you! The apron pattern is a Jamie Christina sewing pattern and is called Pretty Ditty Apron. I bought it off etsy. http://www.etsy.com/listing/47418963/pretty-ditty-apron-pattern-reversible?ref=sr_gallery_2&ga_search_query=Pretty+ditty&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title  The pattern comes with three children's sizes and three adult sizes. It can be made reversible or just one sided. Great pattern! I love it.

can't stand dora... i think the show is over rated and possible horrible children based on the grounds of teaching kids that its okay to go with strangers if they are trying to find a lost puppy or something.... but as to not wonder off from topic i like the idea and i would love to see more of this in a different fabric but beautiful none the less
