Has any of you seen these?  My sister was stationed in Korea and brought back her eyeglass case and it had the same function as this knitting needle case.  There are no hinges.  When you open it, it can fold inside out ot it's original closed position.  They have them available at Hancock Fabrics and on their website  www.hancockfabrics.com  I just couldn't believe that they have them here in the states now.  Awesome.

I saw them the other day in a store - uhm - Pat Catan's I think - which may just be local to the Cleveland area.  Anyhow - while I think that a hard sided needle case is awesome!, they hold so few needles, that it just wouldn't be worth it for me.

I bet it would be great for tiny needles.  Mine always get bent when I schlump them around in my purse or backpack all day.

I saw it at A.C. Moore today.  I thought it was going to hold a lot more needles, but I think it only holds 2 pairs or something.  its a good idea but for now ill stick to the case  i made
