The last time I used my sewing machine was maybe 6 months ago. I cleaned the dust out and oiled it, and haven't used it since then. And I wonder should I oil it now, before using it again, or the previous oiling is enough for now?

I'm afraid that too much machine oil would stain the fabric.

Turn the hand wheel and see if everything is moving freely.  If it feels good, it's probably fine.  If the machine  acts, sounds or feel dry- then a drop or two of oil at the bearing and oiling points  would be the next step.

Thank you for the reply, Jenny.

I sewed a little today to see if the machine is running smoothly. Everything looked and felt fine, so I'll let the oiling for later.
