Bias tape would be SO CUTE and SO TIME CONSUMING!  I image me finishing 3.5 pairs before giving up on the bias tape.  Cheesy  Not much a challenging game, eh?  I'm considering pinked edges and sewing them wrong sides together with a close zigzag.

Ooh that sounds really cute! Do you have a pinking rotary blade? I don't Sad But I may need to get one lol!

I don't, but I thought this would be as good as an excuse as any to get one!  I do have a pinking shears story, though.  For 6-7 years it was on my wish list that my mom would get for my grandmother and for her to use at gift giving time.  At the time I only had a 1940s Singer that didn't do anything but straight stitch and reverse and thought I could sew a lot more kinds of things if I had pinking shears.  FINALLY one year (after my grandmother had died) I was given some... 2 pairs from 2 different people.  Less than a month after that I was given a fancy new Pfaff machine that did all kinds of finishing stitches so I didn't really need them like I had before.  Then a year later, I "inherited" another pair when my other grandmother died.  That pair I use for paper, but still I've pinking shears coming out of my ears!  Luckily, I use them all the time.

lol! I think my shears are definitely one of the best sewing investments I have purchased! I got a nice ghinger (something like that) pair years ago on a 40% sale and have always been happy with them.

I was very lucky to have been given (FINALLY) two nice pairs that have each cut miles of fabric.  The 3rd which is not so nice cuts the heck outta some paper, though. A rotary cutter would be so great for these, though.  It would save hours, I bet.
