Gypsy from paper mache

For the Ostara round of the WWP swap, I made a little gypsy for Saturn. She is made out of paper mache covered styrofoam. Her ears and nose were made out of air dry clay. And her little tamborine was made out of paper.





Here's a photo that Saturn took after the little gypsy arrived at her new home.



I have more photos of her on my blog. She was very hard to let go, but I'm glad she is loved in her new home

i actually used the tute here http://www.papiermache.co.uk/tutorials/papier-mache-doll/ to make her. i just changed a few things (ok a lot of things) to make it work more for me and what i was making. i'd be happy to write up a tute for the one i made if you're still interested.

Shes enchanting.
My mother makes AMAZING little "dolls" out of paper mache. She sold a fish in an art store for $75!!
